Edward Parnellís new book Ghostland (published by William Collins, October 2019) is his moving exploration of what has haunted Britainís writers and artists Ė and what is haunting him.
It is a unique and elegiac meditation on grief, memory and longing, and of the redemptive power of stories and nature. In this talk he will focus on some of the eerie writers and landscapes of Norfolk and East Anglia, as well as the wildlife that is threaded throughout his book. With luck, perhaps Cleyís famous Ďghost owlí might even decide to put in an appearance.
